zesty sweet sauce

The ingredients of this zesty sweet sauce come from a grapefruit and a lemon. This sauce is sweetened with a bit of honey. And that is it! And great with chilled jasmin (pandan) rice, blanched carrots or fresh tomatoes

INGREDIENTS

  1. 1 red grapefruit (that is soft at the top and smells lovely)
  2. 1 lemon
  3. 4 tsp. of honey
  4. salt & pepper

TOOLS

  • a Knife
  • a spoon
  • a Cutting Board
  • a clean kitchen towel
  • an orange or lemon squeezer
  • a jar with lid

steps (PREP. & ACTUAL COOKING)

  1. Wash & towel dry lemon and grapefruit
  2. Cut grapefruit and lemon in half
  3. Squeeze all halves with the help of squeezer or by hand
  4. Pour juices in jar
  5. Add honey
  6. Flavour carefully with salt & pepper
  7. Store in fridge
  8. After an hour the sauce will thicken a bit
  9. Before making use of the sauce, give the content a good stir
