Green Beans with Tomatoes & Feta

Green beans are my friends. I eat them warm or chilled. After a short cook. And short is your key to get those crunchy beans. That are so good. Just with a sprinkle of sea salt. Yes, I believe I have tried to convey you. Green beans are my friends

Vegan (in case you  feta cheese for a plant-based cheese)


  1. chilli flakes hot sauce
  2. 200 grams. of string beans
  3. 2 tomatoes
  4. 1 block of feta cheese

alternative ingredients

  • a Knife 
  • A fork
  • a Cutting Board
  • a sieve or colander
  • a Saucepan
  • a Bowl


  1. Wash string beans
  2. Remove heads and toes from beans
  3. Fill saucepan with 2/3 of water
  4. Turn on the heat
  5. Bring water to boil
  6. When boiling, add string beans
  7. Wait until water boiled again
  8. Turn down the stove, or remove pan from the center of bbq, grill or makeshift fire
  9. Let water + beans bubble and boil softly for about 8 min.
  10. Pick a bean with your fork
  11. Taste whether the bean is al dente
  12. If not, wait a few minutes
  13. The fresher the beans, the earlier they are ready to eat
  14. Remove pan from stove, bbq, grill or makeshift fire
  15. Sieve cooked beans 
  16. Let the sieved beans rest a bit
  17. Wash and dry tomatoes
  18. Cut them into cubes
  19. Add them to bowl
  20. Add the beans to the bowl, too
  21. Undo feta cheese of packaging
  22. Clean cutting board
  23. Crush & crumble the block of cheese with your fork 
  24. Scoop feta crumbles into bowl
  25. Season your lukewarm one-pot bowl with homemade chilli flakes marinade
