Ezra Street Market
Ezra Street Market is a small gem hidden in a courtyard, to enter via Ezra Street (London E8). The courtyard can serve up to 10 stalls. Visitors of the nearby Sunday Columbia Road Flower Market pass by this little set-up and leave the market with a coffee to go and a hot bun. However there is more to find here; French cheese, honey, sausages, olives, tapenades, coffee, croissants and lots of vintage treasures (from French Creuset pots to Aran jumpers).
Shaun and Carlos manage Ezra Street Market for many years. Their stall with tailored vintage design pieces, books, and decorative objects has been my Sunday to go to for many years. They have a nose for the good stuff.
Shaun and Carlos once told me that they have been long time traders at Portobello Road. This market is an important source of inspiration and a starting point for many brands, designers and artists. I live nearby and on a daily basis stroll along the canal towards Golborn Road and Portobello Road.
In spring | summer of 2015 I started with a stall at the very end of Portobello Road nearby Pizza East. Shaun and Carlos offered me to try the Sunday Ezra Street Market. It turned out to be a success.
